Screaming Fits

Mandy
So my ten month old has been increasingly resistant to anything that restrains him - getting him into his car seat can be a nightmare if I can't distract him (he's 100% fine and happy once we get moving) and laying him down to get a diaper on him is nearly impossible between the flailing and the screaming and the rolling and the arched back. I've read that this is sort of a "stage" and they're understandabley trying to assert some independence (and like, i wouldn't like being forcibly restrained either), but any tips on how to deal with it "in the moment" if he's totally throwing a fit and all the tricks haven't worked? He's so strong sometimes I just have to wait several minutes until he's over his fit before I can buckle the car seat 😕
