23 day cycle

My husband and I have finally decided to start a family. I never knew that it was so much into making a baby. I have a 23 day cycle. My period last about 5 days. I'm trying to see when would be the best time to have sex. I ordered some ovulation test online but they won't be back in time for this month. Does anyone else have a 23 day cycle? When is the best time to try and do it? All of my app calendars say that I am fertile a day after my period ends. Is this normal and what most of you all see?
