moving out of state?? tips? advice??

So, I am planning to move either the end of this year or spring of 2018. After doing research the only states that have what I'm looking for is surprising which is:

Hawaii
Maryland 
New Mexico
And Washington.

I'm really leaning towards hawaii but all these states seem almost impossible for me to move to since they are so expensive. But I really need to move away for the sake of my family. & all in all I absolutely hate Indiana. I'm 20 going on 21 in September and it's seems almost impossible to get a job, it's so boring, depressing, the school systems are laughable and honestly sad to say, the state is very racist.

I need advice and help on moving out of state on a budget please🙏🏼 This is the first time besides college I will be by myself with addition of an infant. But I'm willing to try anything.

To add Im not looking for a house but for a 2 bedroom apartment

I moved cross country fl-ca September 2015 and I'm getting ready to go to ca-wa soon. I spent minimal money because I didn't stop often and hardly ate my whole trip. Definitely do not recommend that

I am actually moving from ny to az on Monday. This isn't our first time moving across country and adding an infant this time. I have the same problem with family and not being able to get a good job to support my family or plan ahead and I'm 30! You can actually move pretty cheap. (Hawaii however is very expensive to move to and live) we just got A uhaul trailer for $1000 my husband has a truck to hook it up to. So we pay for the trailer, gas, a few hotel nights. And then we have been working with a realtor to make sure we have a place to go when we get there.

Maryland is SO EXPENSIVE. I would not suggest moving there unless you have a very high-paying job lined up. The taxes are through the roof. 
I don't know about the other states. 
Virginia and Tennessee are both nice! I lived in Knoxville and it was very affordable. Virginia varies a lot! Some areas are super affordable, but NOVA is really expensive near D.C.
