Thoughts on a crib...

 My mom said she still has the crib and dresser they used for my sister and I. I am 31 (born in 1986). Part of me thinks it would be nice and special to use the same crib but what about recalls and such? It's also a light brown and I kind of want a deep cherry wood color. Of course I would need to get a new mattres for it.  Does/should it matter it's a 31 year old crib? Thoughts/suggestions?
