How long will you wait to share the news?

How long do you plan on waiting until you share the news with everyone? I'm not pregnant yet but I've thought a lot about it. I want to wait atleast 8 weeks but my husband  isn't good at keeping secrets and I'm not really either. We plan to tell our family right away since they know our journey but how long till you tell everyone else?

I've been trying for so long, that if I ever get a positive digital test, I will probably tell everyone right away. But I realize that isn't the smartest idea, since I might have a miscarriage.

Ill tell my husband right away. But the rest of my family not until after my first trimester is done. Most miscarriages happen during the first trimester and itd be much harder to tell everyone im pregnant and then tell them i miscarried. Sorry to be a little straighforward but thats what id do.

Told my family at 12 weeks with my first. The next two pregnancies I announced before twelve weeks and lost the babies. Everyone in my family and my SOs were hurt and heavily affected by the losses so I've decided that if I get pregnant again I want to wait til after the first trimester to announce.

It's when you feel comfortable. When I found out I told obviously my boyfriend, my mom and my best friend. The next day he got drunk and too exicted and told his best friends, dad,brother, sister. Lol, I wasn't mad cause I knew he was just so excited. And it was scary because at 5 weeks I was having some issues with bleeding then it was fine. So the following week I told my dad and grandparents. Then the week after that I was having problems again and they thought I'd misscarry and I was suppose to go out with my mom and aunts that day so she told them what was going on so the rest of my family knew. Then everything turned out fine and I anncouned on social media at 9 weeks. I just knew I'd have support it something happened and that this was a special time for us and we wanted the baby to be celebrated no matter what would happen. And I knew anything could happen at anytime, so there really never is a right time. But now I'm 29 weeks with a baby boy💙

I told my mom and two other close family members the night I peed on a stick. Other family I told after heartbeat was confirmed at the first ultrasound around 9 weeks. Made it FB official (and told my work) around 13 weeks, after my doc appt that heard the heartbeat still going strong. It's pretty public knowledge now at almost 21 weeks.

When  we finally get pregnant, I plan to tell my family and my closest friend almost right away. We would love to tell my hubby's family at the same time but they would literally tell everyone the 1st chance they get and they also don't know about our journey to have a baby. I think we'd wait until the 12 week mark to tell everyone else but that probably won't happen, we'd be way too excited. It's one of those things where you don't know until you're in the situation. I think the important thing to remember is that the timing of your announcement is solely based on when you're comfortable to tell people. My best friend announced her pregnancy between 6-8 weeks and that worked just fine for them.

We told our parents at 8 weeks after we saw the heartbeat, but we didn't announce to everyone else until I was 15 weeks. I have pcos and hypothyroidism and was told I'd have a hard time getting pregnant and maintaining a pregnancy, so I was afraid I'd miscarry. We now have a happy healthy 7 month old!

I will tell my close friends and family soon after finding out because I will be too excited and can't keep a secret.... but also because if something does go wrong, I will need their support.

Not to mention I've watched 2 of my best friends go through late term miscarraiges (22 and 28 weeks) so I know that miscarriages (while rare) still happen after 12 weeks.
