Well how do you feel?

On Facebook I seen this debatable question? Who should you put first, your SO or your kid(s)??

Personally I would always put my child first and feel like that's how it should be done, but everyone has different opinions.

My husband and our relationship comes first. Then come the kids. We were together before the kids came so priorities.

You can't always put the kids first in my opinion. You need to put your relationship as a priority. That isn't to say you choose one over the other but that both are extremely important and need to be balanced. When the kids leave home(bc they all do) what are you going to be left with?

I hate having to rank the two, but if it came down to it, it would be my baby. She needs us and my husband can take care of himself. Thankfully we're on the same page about this. We were together for 12 years before we had her, so we had our time. We're strong in our relationship, so focusing more on her isn't a problem.

My fiancé and I both agreed that our daughter will always come first.  We love each other but we brought her into this world so it is our responsibility to make sure she is the top priority.  I would never want him to chose me over her and he feels the same way

My child always comes first no matter what.. I'm sorry I love my husband but realistically not all marriages work out and thing happen!
I carried this life in me for 9 months and let me tell you no matter how good of a marriage you have and how much you love each other your child will always love you more and love you unconditionally. 
My hubby and I love each other very very much but our daughter comes first for both of us. She's the best thing we ever did and her happiness is our happiness.

It depends on the context. That quote is meant to say that even though it's hard having kids you need to make your relationship a priority which will in turn benefit the kids. However, I think my child comes first because my partner can fend for himself but I still make our relationship a priority.
