my 23month old might have chicken pox?

Not to sure on the photo if it is chicken pox or something else.?
It was one at first and it spread after a few days.
If it is chicken pox Can you guys please let me know what products you use to calm the itch.

It looks like it could be. But if go to the Dr to be double sure. You can always try the calamine lotion and see if it helps any.

Calamine lotion? Sorry but don't know if it's chicken pox. It doesn't really look like it but I've never had chicken pox.

Compare it to pictures on sites like Google and WebMD. Calamine lotion. Call your doctor.

Poor guy. I would definitely bring him in. Could be an irritation or chicken pox but either way your mind would be at ease if you bring him in and get some answers. If it's an iffitation to something it will most likely just continue until you discontinue the irritant. Best of luck.

My son had chicken pox when he was 5 weeks old.

What did the sores look like before they scabbed over?  Little water blisters?  If yes, it could be chicken pox.  Also, chicken pox is a respiratory illness.  It starts with a cold. Did she have a cold or the sniffles before the blisters showed up?

As for the itching, I believe my mom put calamine lotion on to help with the itching, but that was 30 years ago...so there may be a different remedy now.

Is your child vaccinated? If so then its HIGHLY unlikely that its chicken pox. Try an oatmeal bath

It very well could be.   I personally would not put anything topical on it until a confirmation because I would be concerned it possibly could make it worse.   Maybe benadryl.  Call primary care and see how they want to handle it

That pink lotion for it works great but take him to the doctors, did he get vaccinated ?
