who didn't breastfeed?

Question

Anyone that didn't breastfeed soon as their child was born and just prepared a bottle?
I'm talking about when he's newly born and you're still in hospital.

I didn't breastfed. My choice and stuck by it I had my reasons. In hospital in U.K. they had tiny little premade bottles to use then bought some made ones for first days at home so could settle home and then we made them up. Hope this helps.

I bottle fed my son & will bottle feed this son as well. My hospital also had the premade bottles (& I was sent some free samples) then once home, you can schedule your WIC appointment for free formula. Might want to have a can to use until you can get to WIC appointment. I received a can & 4 premade bottles in mail so I'll have that on hand.

I chose to bottle feed and the hospital tried tlking me out of it and breastfeeding her instead. I had to put my foot down and tell them that I appreciated their concerns but it is my baby and my choice. They gave me premade bottles while we stayed in the hospital. This time when I have my baby I will take the bottles I plan on using so the baby does not get used to the nipples the hospital provides. Bottle feeding just works for me and my family.

Most formula companies give free samples if you sign up on their website. They also send checks in the mail. My friend signed up her, her partner, and both of their parents. With the checks they were able to never spend money on formula for the entire year. She may have also signed up her sister too.

I plan on bottle feeding from day 1. I have A LOT of stress going on in my life right now and just don't see breastfeeding working out for me. I tried with my daughter when I was 16, it didn't work and I ended up very discouraged. I decided I'd save myself the grief this time and go ahead and bottle feed my little man. They give you pre-made bottles in the hospital but if you plan on using a certain bottle when you get home, I'd take it with you to the hospital.
