baby watching tv

How do you mommas feel about baby watching tv/cartoons? While pregnant I read a lot that babies shouldn't watch tv because it's not good for their development and I had decided I would t expose him to it until he was older but he is now 9 weeks old and seems to be intrigued with the tv and I have put cartoons to see how he acts and he seems to enjoy it . I'm thinking because of how vibrant the colors are.. anywho .. wondering others opinions
