Is there still hope?

My daughter is 10 wks old and around 3 wks i stopped breastfeeding due to concerns with meds i was taking. I thought i had dried out but yesterday, being curious, i used my manual pump and got a few drops out of each breast. Is there still hope to get my milk supply flowing again?

Ok, so I dried up last week because I was pregnant, but lost the pregnancy and immediately wanted my milk back. I am an exclusively pumping FTM. I went from 5-10
oz per pumping session to 1-2 oz when I decided to start again - yes - I do think it's possible for you to get it back. Try lactaction cookies- I swear they really boasted my supply each time I make them (Google chocolate chip oatmeal lactaction cookies with Brewers yeast). You're going to be frustrated at first but be patient. Pump even if nothing is coming out and it should stimulate more milk. I have been keeping a log of how much I pump every time and it helps me to see progress, even if it's only an ounce more per day. I recommend doing that, and maybe if you don't see progress in a week you'll know if it is working or not.

You can definitely do it. It will take time and patience but it can be done. Most important plus to stimulate the breasts through breastfeeding and pumping. You may also want to look into supplements such as fenugreek and blessed thistle. Also speaking with a lactation consultant may make a big difference
