Would you take both in?

Say your brother had a kid with a woman who already had a child that wasn't biologicaly your brothers but your brother lived with the child ever since his biological child was born. You get a call saying the children are being taken from your brother and his girlfriend because they failed to provide for them and asked if you would be able to take care of them what would you do?

If you can provide for both I would, whether or not the other child is biologically your brothers, it's still the sibling of the biological child. I wouldn't want to separate the siblings, it will already be a hard time on the children no need to add anymore stress by not having their sibling around.

Family does not equal blood. Family is about love, and those kids are siblings by love. Take them both, they deserve it.

Take both. I'm sure the child looks up to him as a father figure. If the other child is in your lives, that'd be messed up to separate them and kick him to the curb. The kid shouldn't have to suffer from the parents mistakes 😐

Me and my husband will adopt one day and I was thinking today the way I will explain to my future adopted child/ren is that although not biological through science, they will still be in our heart ❤️ and spirit, so in a round about way we will be connected biological and we will be their parents

We almost had this exact situation.

My brother and his girlfriend had their two children taken into care.

The oldest girl is not his but he has been in her life since she was 6 months old. They had told social services she was biologically my brothers though and they didnt question it.

We would have happily taken them in and did spend 6 months going through the process. Luckily they have managed to gain custody back with support from social services.

Would you take both in?
