Preeclampsia even after baby born?

Shae
Here is my story. Thursday 4/27/2107 I was just going to a regular obgyn check up to see where I'm at for 36 weeks and 5 days. Well I get to my appointment and that same day I had a fever at 3am and a really bad headache but never thought anything of it. Well I'm there and my blood pressure is elevated and there was a lot of protein in my urine. So they told me to go straight to hospital and get some test to see if I had preeclampsia. So I get to the hospital around 4:45pm and they run some test and around 6pm I find out I absolutely have preeclampsia and they admitted me. So I change rooms and start getting hooked up with a bunch of meds to prevent seizures and lower my blood pressure and also to induce me. Around 7-8pm I start getting contractions they put the balloon in to dilate me about 3-4cm which btw painful as HELL. So around 9-10pm I'm about 4-5cm along with an epidural at this point but the epidural only worked on one side so I was in so much pain. Around the next day I was just trying to dilate more but wasn't progressing so around 9pm a different nurse came in and did the peanut ball and by 10pm I was fully dilated and pushing. I pushed about 10times and he was out. Baby was completely hesrhlt besides a little preterm and a little bit of jondice later on. But as for me I lost a lot of blood almost pass out after birth and my blood pressure was still high. Well they moved me to recovery with my little man and kept me on my meds until 24hours was up. After the 24 hours I got my IVS out and my blood pressure was still high so they made me stay an extra two more days. I finally went home yesterday at 6-7pm and I'm on about three didferent blood pressure meds. I was wondering if anyone else has preeclampsia and your blood pressure was still high and for how long until it went back to normal or never went back to normal?
