Best birth control?

I have a 10 week old and I'm terrified of going on birth control. The first time I got on birth control I was crazy depressed. It took me awhile to finally switch, and I switched to one that didn't have as much hormones or something like that. Depressed. Again. But it was more of a couldn't feel any emotions kind of depressed, idk how to even describe it. And I got with my ex and I decided to try the depo shot. I was so excited for this because I also sucked at remembering to take my pill. And then I bled every day for 3 months and I felt just phsycho. Now my current bf is refusing sex untill I get on birth control cause he doesn't want us to have another baby yet, duh. I don't want another yet either! But he doesn't feel safe with just condoms. I was gonna try nuva ring but... How am I supposed to know what a new one is going to do to my body? When it made me depressed I didn't tell anyone. Having a baby, I don't feel safe getting on birth control and having it make me crazy or something. I wanna know if any of you are the same way and found a good birth control that won't do this to me. I know everyone's different, but seriously I'm so scared to go back on it.
