TDaP vaccine during pregnancy?

Question

What are your thoughts/experiences with getting the TDaP vaccine DURING pregnancy? My doctor wants to give it to me in a few weeks.

Everyone is supposed to get it durning pregnancy. 
You either get it or risk exposing your baby to whooping cough. 
I've asked everyone who is going to handle our newborn to get it as well.

All my experiences have been positive which those who could receive the shot. I had a family member die from not having it and I don't wish that on anyone.

My husband and I both got it and both of our families. The pertussis portion of the vaccine is the important part and it's so the baby has a way of fighting off whooping cough. As adults our immune systems can fight it better. Babies can choke to death if they get whooping cough, so it's kinda their one defense, whatever we pass to them. I'd say it's 100% worth it in my opinion. But I wouldn't want to risk my sons health.

I got it and made hubby get it before baby was here. I'd prefer to be protected and keep baby safe than risk bringing home anything.
