self soothing while swaddled - FTM advice plz

Lora
My son is going to be 3 mos old in a few days and I want to start helping him learn how to self sooth himself to sleep. We recently started him in daycare and he went from me rocking him for naps every 2 hours to only napping maybe 2 or 3 hours at daycare. I obviously understand they have other babies to watch and don't have the time I did to rock him and hold him. If he could be put down and fall asleep on his own he could may get more naps in.
My only concern is we still have him swaddled so what does he have to self sooth if we take away his pacifier. Everything I read says not to use the pacifier Bc obviously when it falls out we have to go back in to put in his mouth. I do have the below swaddle that I was thinking would be a good idea Bc he can reach his hand and he likes to suck on the cloth. I am not ready to unswaddle as his hands still wake him up.
He only wakes up once a night if that and we no longer feed at night we just sooth him back to sleep. We realized he didn't need to eat in the middle of the night he was just using the bottle to sooth. Dr also said since he is over 14lbs it was okay not to night feed.
Had anybody done this sort of training while their child was still swaddled? How many days did it take to train and does anyone have helpful tips (even if done when unswaddle) Looking to start this weekend.
