kids birthday party with family or just her friends.

My daughter will be turning 10 on Monday, May 8th, we give her the decisions to do a big birthday party with family(we invite aunts and uncles and grandparents and her first cousins that comes up to be a about 30 people) or to go do something with her friends(about 6-10 people) and she picks friends she loves hanging out with a friend but now this is the 3rd year she's picked doing stuff with friends and my family ( mom dad brother and sister) are just being big dicks about it and just get pissed cuz of it, but they know where we live so if they want to see her and give her a birthday present they m kw where we live, and just about every birthday party that we have had for her with family my parents go and invite 3-5 people without asking me til they are on their way to the party and one year we went to Pizza Ranch and bought everyone the all you can eat salad bar and they brought 6 extra people so that was $50 extra dollars we had to spend. Are we wrong for not doing a big family party.
