my little story
Finally had my little Loganđź’™
On may 1st I went to work like normal 4 days past due, not really feeling like he was coming anytime soon. Just a couple random cramps.
Cut to later that night around 8pm started getting contractions cramping only in front 10 min apart hurting but not unbearable. In my mind thinking it must just be random cramps and that I couldn't actually be in labor. I figured I wouldn't go naturally for another couple of days or would need to be induced. Hadn't lost my mucus plug or anything so I wasn't taking it seriously. Boyfriend kept telling me that we should go to the hospital but I still insisted we'd just get sent home. Then it goes from 10 min apart to 6-5 min apart around 11 at 12:30am I lost my mucus plug the whole thing, after that I started getting contraction every 5-4 minutes. Still didn't think it was active labor because although I was in pain it wasnt excruciating. Talked to my mother who was basically yelling to go to the hospital now. I call the doctor tell him what's happening he says to come in also. Get to the hospital at 2 am get admitted. Nurse saw how uncomfortable I was getting every time I got a contraction it was stronger but not as bad as I still was expecting. Talked to her about pain med options. She leaves comes back with the doctor to check how many centimeters I am. Turns out I was already at 9cm! I cried tears of joy I was so happy I had made it through my labor naturally the way I originally wanted and that I was so close to meeting my son and not having contraction pain anymore! Thanks to great nurses, the dr, and my amazing boyfriend I had my son at 3:50 am no tearing! 🙌🏼 He is happy and healthy born may 2nd, 7.5lbs 20in. Even with the semi sleepless night I'm enjoying motherhood!
