Clingy cats: sign of near labor?

Question

Two of my cats have been extremely cuddly the last couple days. Could they be sensing close labor possibly? 
I'm 34 weeks, but had an episode of preterm labor at 30 weeks that they were able to stop. At that time I lost my mucus plug and bloody show, was 50% effaced, and a fingertip dilated. 
I won't get another cervical check for another two weeks at my 36 week checkup. 
The last week I've been experiencing strong menstrual like cramps on and off, along with some lower back pain, usuallythe cramps  and back pain happen at the same time but they haven't been consistent like contractions.

Has anyone else gotten an increase of affection from their pets right before labor started? I'm hoping I can make it to 37 weeks but it's really just a guessing game of when it's going to happen!

How crazy! Animals are so sensitive to this kind of stuff. I was never an animal person before. When my (bf at the time, now husband) got me pregnant his cat would not leave me alone. It was so annoying. She was never around me before. His mom came home and even noticed, wow the cat finally likes you and then yelled OMG you're pregnant. It was so odd. 7 years later and this is now our 3rd baby and we rescued a dog together, who normally loves dad more than me, but just this week he started sleeping with me. Under the blanket, between my legs with his head resting on my thigh. He has to be as close to me as possible. I'll be 36 weeks on Tuesday so hopefully this has something to do with labor being near.

My male cat has been acting strange the last few weeks.. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow, and he acts SO strange and jumpy about everything. 
He's always been partial to me, but lately It's like having a toddler follow you around and you're having to step over them 😂 he's my best buddy during the day when no one else is home but his clingy-ness is driving me crazy lol. 
I keep telling him I'm going to miss him when I go to have her & he will just purr at me. 
He also starting sleeping right at my stomach or at my chest area at night when I get ready to go to sleep. It's so strange. Sorry for the side ways picture, I was to lazy to edit. But here he is laying on my lap, by my stomach. He's never really done this & I told my husband that I thought he definitely knew she was coming soon! 💜😻😸

My male cat who is usually very independent has been super clingy! He doesn't usually cuddle but he has been super affectionate! And my dog has been super protective as well! She follows me constantly and if I am walking her and someone approaches or she hears someone at the door she will sit in front on me and start to bark! I definitely think they know something is up!

Yep, almost 34 weeks, which is the gestational week I had my son and my dog is getting clinger by the day. She has to be as close to me as possible at night, doesn't like to be separated from me during the day and is extremely protective of me around strangers and other animals. The morning my water broke with my son we were crating her at night in the bedroom to prep for when he'd be sleeping in our bedroom in bassinet. According to hubby she pawed at her crate door from about 1am until 6am when I got up to the bathroom and my water broke. She never did that before and clearly was trying to get to me. Funny though once we let her out she flipped out and wouldn't come near me yet had to be close enough to see me. Curious to see what she does this time without being crated.

Im 32wks and have been experiencing these same symptoms. My dog who is a girl (spayed) has been under me throughout the pregnancy but this past week she has been obsessively clingy. She sleeps under my belly. Follows me everywhere begs to leave w me on car rides. Follows me to the bathroom. Sits w me on the couch..she uber protective of me too.

Following. I am in the same exact position. I am currently 36 weeks and 2 days but for the past couple of days I've been getting menstrual like cramps and a lot of pressure down in my pubic area. And my cat has been following me EVERYWHERE and has to be up under me no matter where I'm at and that is very unusual for him. So I would love to see what other ladies say! I definitely think it's a sign we are getting ready to go into labor! Not to mention I have dropped big time in the matter of days. The picture of me in the red on the left was taken last Thursday and the one of me on the right in the white t-shirt was taken last night so you can see an obvious drop!
