Started having contractions on 5/5 on and off all day then at about 11:30 at night contractions started being consistent, 5 minutes apart for a few hours then 4 minutes while the night went on. Decided to go to L&D 5/6 at about 7:30 am contractions were progressing, 3-4 minutes apart and I went from 2cm to almost 4cm dilated within the first 2hrs so they decided to go ahead and keep me. ( I was 38+6 weeks btw) I decided to get my water broken, and pitocin. First I got an epidural, instantly relieved the painful contractions but then about 15 min labor my blood pressure crashed dangerously low and they had to give me epipeferine to bring it back up, I was really freaked out my ears were ringing and I had lost most of my vision.  Once that was under control, I felt pretty good and they broke my water and started the pitocin. Well epidural didn't take to my whole left side of my body so I felt every bit of pain on that side still, the anesthesiologist had to give me not 1 but 2 more doses of the epidural to make my left side numb. Was in complete pain for hours on my left until that happened. They upped my pitocin, I had really good strong contractions and everything was going great until my heart rate was way too high. After working on lowering that after awhile, it was time for baby! I stared pushing, at this point the left side of my epidural wore out again and during pushing they turned my epidural half way down to "motivate" me to push more so I ended up feeling way more than I wanted. Pushing my baby out was one of the most hard, rewarding things I ever done and even though I had a lot of complications with myself, I'd do it over and over if I had to ❤️
