Infertility and Mother's Day church service..
Its always so hard to go to church on Mother's Day. Pastor has all the mothers stand at the alter and receive a gift and prayers, ect. I'm literally the only married woman sitting down with all the fathers, and children. Just smiling AWKWARDLY with a broken heart. I go because my mother and sisters attend, and I always contribute by making cakes to raffle to raise money for our youth group. I was never open about the infertility with my family or Pastor until just recently and now I feel I have this label on my forehead. I was planning on avoiding service this year (just cant deal with the awkwardness and heartache) but was asked if I was still going to do my raffle. Should I just send my cakes with my sister or is that rude? I really can't sit there and be reminded I may never get to celebrate. Anyone else have a story or something they wanna share about infertility and mothers day??
