Is mother's day too soon to tell parents?

My husband and I don't want to share our pregnancy with the world yet but we are both anxious to tell our parents. It will be the first grandchild for both of our parents. He really wants to tell them on Mother's Day but I'm not sure if that is too soon. I'll be about 5.5 weeks at that time.

We are telling on Mother's Day. I can't worry about a miscarriage. If I miscarry, it would happen if I told them or not. Also I would want my family to know, pray, and be there for me if that were to happen.

When I was pregnant in march we told both sets of parents the day we found out. When we miscarried I was happy to have their support. We found out today we're having our rainbow baby and telling on Mother's Day. If I miscarry again i'll be happy to have their support again ❤️

I'm 3 weeks and 6 days found out 2 days ago and right after I told him he told his parents this is number 2 for us but number 4 for me. With our daughter who's 4 months old he told them around 6 weeks.

We are on the same boat. I am too scared of a miscarriage to tell anyone. We really want to tell people because it took us a year to get pregnant. Father's day is next month so I think that's when we will tell them :)

That's up to you. We told our parents two days after we found out at 4.5 weeks. We couldn't wait! They know not to tell anyone.

I agree with Jodi! We had a miscarriage in October and just found out Monday we are pregnant with our Rainbow Baby! Last time we told my in laws the day we found out. But this time we wanted to wait the 6 days until Mother's Day! What a wonderful surprise it will be for your in laws if you choose that day! My vote is go for it! Having that extra support and excitement is worth it! And they'll feel like they are apart of the whole journey!

I wanted to wait until Mother's Day but my SO was way too excited so we already started telling people. I'm 5.1 today.

We'll tell our parents once I get my 8 week ultrasound. We're hesitant because his parents were super rude when we announced our first (we we're married, moved out and everything)

So we are waiting so they don't ruin our joy lol. Kinda sucks, but I figure if they see the little bean they'll be more accepting.
