YAY! for testing negative for Melanoma ❤️🚑

J
I had surgery two weeks ago to remove a large discolored mole on my left areola that had the potential to develop into Melanoma later on in life if I kept it on my breast. I went under general anesthesia for it and had to have a plastic surgeon remove it.  Keeping in mind I am 15 years old,  I went through with the surgery and am recovering just fine. I got my results back from the pathologists and I tested NEGATIVE for maligant melanoma and they took enough off that it won't ever come back.
***Also had my post operation appointment on Thursday and was able to finally remove the steri strips to see my scar. It looks great so far besides the redness. (YAY for finally being able to shower and wear real bras)
I also went today to my first therapy session and am finally getting on anxiety medication and doing the therapy I need after over 4 years of suffering and not speaking up.
I am so relieved and glad that I am finally taking care of both my general health and my mental health. Just thought I'd share because I'm maybe a little too proud of myself. ❤️
