PSA Consent

Stephanie
I had to post somewhere on here that people would actually see this, since there is an abundance of victim blamers on this app.
It seems like there is a misunderstanding about what consent is on this app. A lack of "no" is not consent. Drinking is not consent. Going to someone's house is not consent. Wearing "skanky" clothes is not consent. Going to dinner with someone is not consent.  Consent is a clear YES. In a couple states, legally consent is verbal. Someone can take away consent at any time, even during a sexual act. Consent is not "oh come on..you know you want to...don't you want to make me happy?" Thinking consent isn't a huge deal is absolutely ridiculous, harms rape and sexual assault victims, and helps the perpetrators. So, my question is, how do we fix this problem? I've said many times that consent should be included in sex Ed, and taught from an early age as well but considering the fact that many states are still abstinence only, I doubt that's going to happen any time soon
