When did you ladies put the car seat base in

Ok ladies it has been 6 years since my last one.  I will be 32 weeks Wednesday.  I don't go back til the 1st.  But I am high risk due to gestational diabetes. I won't know how much she weighs until my ultrasound. (Waiting on the hospital to call). I already have her diaper bag ready. Just need to pack my hospital bag.  But when did you ladies put the car seat base it. I don't want to do it to early but don't want to wait til the last minute.

35 weeks it's strapped in and bags are also packed and in the car. I wanted to be prepared.

I did mine at 36 weeks. My husband is terrible at installing things like that so I had to do it.

I'd put it in whenever you go to the hospital in labor or your husband can get it while you're in the hospital recovering after baby comes. Remember if you have any kind of accident with the seat or base in your car, it will need replaced

Well u go into labor u will recover for 2 days so I always had my husband bring car seat and base when he came to pick me up Day of discharge. Esp with it getting hot outside I don't want car seat sitting in car waiting for baby. My first labor I didn't believe I was in labor so we brought nothing with us. You have time from deliver to when u need car seat

Does it change the circumstances when you are high risk. My first I wasn't high risk. And I can't remember when I put it in.   I was just going to put the base in after my car gets vacuumed out lol.  It just worries me that I go to my appointments and then when I'm there my obgyn might say go to l&d

Does it hurt to put it in now. But don't put the carseat in the base yet in case you're in an accident because youll have to throw it out.

We installed our first's in the hospital parking lot the day we brought her home! This time we were a bit more prepared- I did it at 36 weeks. Here I am at 39+4 and still waiting 😂
