Taking Iron-When does it start working?

Hi ladies! So I've always been kinda low on iron. I have chrons so I'm used to it. I'm 17 weeks today and when I got up this morning I almost passed out. I got soooo dizzy! Called the dr they had me come in and check my levels. Apparently mine was a 7 which is really low. They put me on 3 pills a day of iron. I've had no energy what so ever and breath like I've been running,  just walking to the fridge! I've been worthless! lol I can't wait to feel better! My question is, when will these pills start to take effect?

Eat iron rich foods like it's your job. Take each iron pill dose with foods rich in vitamin c to help your body absorb the iron properly. You'll also need a stool softener more than likely.

I haven't really been eating iron rich foods. Where I have crohns it's hard for me to eat leafy greens or anything too hard to digest. That's mostly the problem :(

I believe two weeks. I had an iron infusion through an IV after I gave birth and was told it would take effect after two weeks.

Our body absorbs iron better from food rather than supplements. Are you eating lots of iron rich food? Cooking in cast iron pans are also a way to infuse food with iron.
