baby issues

I need an opinion       I get way lonely when my husband is on nights for work.   I have always wanted children and knew that was in my future.    And I want to try to get pregnant now.   My husband wants to wait for about a year (we discussed this prior to marriage).  But I want a baby now so badly.  Am I being selfish? I feel I shouldn't push so hard to have a baby now
