footprint/handprint keepsake

Just bought a pearhead footprint/handprint photo frame keepsake. I'm debating on if I should bring it to the hospital with me so I could get his prints when he's born. Or if I should save it for home, I'll probably only stay at the hospital for 24 hours anyway. When do you guys think is the best time for prints? What did you do? Or what would you do?
