26 weeks pregnant and woke up with cold like symptoms yesterday, sore throat and runny nose... went to an urgent care and they ran a strep throat test, no fever, and said it was negative and told me to take Claritin.. does it sound like they should have done more? Im afraid being sick will harm my son..

Sounds like allergies. I think what they told you was fine.

The swab was negative but they will also run a culture and If that comes up positive they will call ! But it sounds like run of the mill cold so unless you get more sick there's not

I have had both strep and bronchitis so far this pregnancy. Our daughter is still healthy as can be at almost 28 weeks.

I've been sick a total of three times while being pregnant. Baby is still perfectly heathly. You just have a common cold. Baby is fine I promise
