anyone get pregnant soon after giving birth and had a healthy baby?

I have a 4 month old and I'm going to start ttc this month. I know risk of miscarriage is higher when u get pregnant so soon after giving birth so I am a little worried about that. Has anyone gotten pregnant only months after giving birth but had another healthy full term baby?

I've never heard of miscarriage being an issue with close spacing. We have 7 and I had 5 in 5 years. No miscarriages til YEARS later. The only issue I would warn you about is that it takes at least a full year for your body to be completely healed from carrying a baby. This may not be a prob right now but I promise you it can be troublesome later. If you're going to have them so close, take good care of yourself. Eat healthy, take your vitamins, exercise a good bit, maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. It's very important. Good luck! The more the merrier lol!

It's not just a higher risk for the health of the baby but also the health of the mamma.  Plus the baby you've already birthed might miss out on nutrients within the breast milk if you are pregnant.

I did. My fourth baby is 12.5 months younger than #3. #4 was my heaviest baby at birth. He was healthy and strong. My pregnancy was uneventful, I was just more tired than in previous pregnancies.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my 5th and got pregnant at 6 months post with #4. It was a csection also. So far so good.
