summer baby nightwear?

I'm a ftm, and my baby girl is due in July, and I keep panicking thinking about her overheating during the night as it gets sooo warm in my room. So what should I dress her in? Do I still use a blanket? I know they're silly questions, but whenever I ask someone, they just say 'it'll all come natural to you when she's here' 🤦🏻‍♀️ that's not helping me feel better right now 😅

You basically will try and dress your baby how you would dress your self if you think it's cold so will baby vice verse if you think it's hot or warm. Im sure if July when it's warm/hot and probably just sleep with a t shirt so I'm sure a simple onesies will be ok for baby as well

Also the "rule of thumb" when dressing a baby is that they need 1 more layer than you are wearing. So if you are sleeping naked under just a sheet, then baby will need a onsie and the muslin blanket. Also, the baby will tell you if they are too hot, they will cry.

If baby likes to be swaddled you can use a light swaddler or muslin blanket. If not, a light sleepsack. Underneath, baby can be in just a diaper if it's really hot. Or a onesie if you need another layer.

You need air moving in any room baby is sleeping in. Get a fan or an air conditioner. Light weight sleeper and babies are never to sleep with blankets. A fitted sheet only in the crib.

Your midwife would be the best to ask about that, maybe invest in a really good fan and have it on the opposite end of the room to her so it cools the room down

Thanks everyone. I do have a fan so at least that will help. I haven't heard of the muslin blanket so I'll have to look for one!
