The lies we fall for...

To my pregnant Christian sisters, I have to share something that the Lord recently revealed to me. 

How many times have people around you catered to you because your pregnant? How many times have you been told, "you deserve x, you're pregnant"? My guess is, a lot. I had a bout of pregnancy hormones go into full effect recently and all of a sudden, there was that thought: "why isn't my husband doing x?!?! I'm pregnant!!!!!" And the thought quickly turned into anger and disdain for my husband. When in reality, my husband is a great husband, even though he's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination...but it's not like I'm perfect either, so we have that in common!

My point is that being taken care of during pregnancy is not at all a bad thing, but we need to be careful because Satan will play on that and twist it to turn it into selfishness, anger, and entitlement. When in all reality, we are supposed to live and love sacrificially regardless of whether or not we are pregnant!

Ladies, be on guard and take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) even as the hormones rise because we have an enemy out there who seeks to kill and destroy us (John 10:10).
