Apendix removal at 28 weeks?!?!?

Cynthia
So I started having really bad cramping in my stomach Thursday night that kept me up all through the night till Friday morning getting worse as the hours went by. I finally made the decision to go to the hospital at 7:30 in the morning, after 10 hours at the hospital they finally determined that I had appendicitis and my Apendix was up in my ribs because of little man. The hospital I was at decided to transfer me because they didnt have a nicu unit in case things got messy with little man. Needless to say my Apendix ruptured on the way to the second hospital, luckily my Apendix was enclosed in abscess which I'm hoping won't come back so things didn't get bad too quick and they were ready for my surgery as soon as I got there. I got lucky. It was a super scary night for me especially with my DH overseas right now, scared the crap out of both of us. Little man didn't have to come out luckily and now we are back home recovering and he seems to think its fun the punch and kick moms battle scars. A hole in my side where the drain used to be and 3 laparoscopic surgery sutures. The first few days were rough, this is day 5 after my surgery and its rough with little man still in there but I'm glad he is. Anyone else out there have to go through this? If so, how far along were you? And what was recovery like for you?
