Zika test?

So we went to Bali on our honeymoon, not knowing that it had been put on the Zika list recently. In Bali is where we figured out I was pregnant.  Had my blood drawn yesterday to test and I'm super nervous and worried. Anyone have experience with the Zika test and results? Should I be overly concerned? I mean, we have Zika in the US too.

Oh yeah, very familiar with this situation unfortunately. My husband and I got married in Jamaica in October and when we got back we found out I must have already been pregnant before we left. The nurses basically stated that I had nobody to blame but myself if the baby had Zika. Then said that Kaiser Insurance doesn't provide for the Zika test. I was hysterical and inconsolable. My Dr however was able to contact the CDC and test me. All negative thank god 🙏. However, they still look for signs on ultrasounds for anything abnormal. When I got the test they said it would take months to get the results back but it really only took about 2 weeks. My Dr said even "if" you test positive it doesn't always mean a terrible diagnosis. Happy thoughts to you and baby, I know how nerve racking it is❤️.

We were in Singapore for our honeymoon, which was also added more recently and not a large area was impacted at the time. I had a rash when I came back, which is the only reason they even gave me the test since I wasn't actually pregnant yet. They told me it would take a really long time to get the results back but it actually only took about a week so hopefully you won't have to worry about it for so long! Fingers crossed for you, but if you're feeling fine I'd bet you're fine 🤞

Hey guys I found out I was pregnant while in bali this week. I'm 5 weeks and had one  mosquito bite I am terrified that I could have zika. Online cdc says not to travel to areas with active outbreak and bali doesnt have an active outbreak so I dnt know if I'm safe of not any advice appreciated?!

I actually got the Zika virus when I left Jamaica last summer. I'm hoping its completely gone and won't effect my baby! Wishing you the best.

We went to Mexico last August and stupidly didn't think about Zika. We waited 7 months to do anything that could potentially harm a future child of ours. I tested negative as well but still worry. It lasts in men for 6 months if they get infected. So if you were trying to conceive it could be passed to the women.

Update: 
So it's been 6 weeks since I took the Zika blood test and I got no reply from my doctor. No news is good news! I did get a notification of a separate health concern so I know they would have contacted me by now. Also, at my last screening, the nurse said the baby's head and neck looked fine so far. 
My 2nd trimester sonogram is in a week and a half so I'll ask the doctor to get a definite answer, but I'm thinking I'm in the clear for Zika. 
I'll update again if I'm wrong. No news is good news!

I was tested for Zika last week after being in Thailand a week before conceiving. My doctor made me feel really unsettled about it and I haven't gotten results yet. Ugh!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon back in march to the Dominican Republic. We then conceived right away in April, with me being on bc for so long we didn't think it would happen right away. I was tested may 12th two weeks after finding out we were pregnant. Results came back negative, I then got this weird phone call from our state health department asking me 21 questions about my trip and what not. I went to my OB this past week and my doctor said I should have nothing to worry about. I was told by my normal physician the OB may want a test again, however she didn't seem too concerned at all. We are now also 8weeks and 2days and are told we are healthy! Good luck!

I got ovulated late and ended up getting pregnant days after returning from Mexico. I had a fever the day I returned (hubby had been bitten quite badly one day of the hol). I think if it's less than 2 weeks of a possible bite they can do a quicker test (PCR) and if it's been more then you have to wait at least 4 weeks from the possible bite and those results take longer (antibody titre). I could be wrong though, it's very difficult to get info. 
I'm getting tested in a week!! Very nervous because if it comes back positive you have to wait until 18-20 weeks to look for any brain abnormalities. There are lots of neurological abnormalities potentially associated with infection, not just microcephaly :-( x

Me and my husband traveled to San Juan and the Virgin Islands for a late anniversary trip a week before we found out we were pregnant. I'm 8wks 3 days and had a scan last Friday dr said everything looked great and Zika takes longer to detect so she will test on June 9.
