white discharge

Over the past couple of months I've had white discharge, it doesn't smell funky and I'm not itchy down there either, it's also not clumpy at all. Is this something I should go see the doctor about? I would really appreciate an explanation or some advice. I have social anxiety so going to the doctor especially about these types of things is hard for me to do, so I wanted to know if it's completely necessary that I go.
