Announcing to child that we are having a baby, help!

My son is 8 years old, Im no longer with his dad. I got married last year and husband n my son get along great. Everytime we mention something about him possibly having a sibling he gets really upset. I do try at least once a week going out and doing something just for him, just me and him go. Well we are pregnant and want to tell him first, we are 9 weeks. Planning for tomorrow with a cute shirt and fun trip to the water park with some other stuff.
