My MIL encourages her son and daughter to stay aloof from their kids to maintain detachment to avoid all the emotional agony that they might have to face eventually in life which comes from too much of emotional bonding. My SIL who blindly follows her mother always had fights with her husband and she doesnt even care to feed her baby well. When my MIL stayed with us for a short period, she tried to shield her son from baby related activities as much as possible. She tried to argue with me to bathe the baby with help of nanny and not include my husband. She is that brutal. I shut her immediately.

So, few days ago I was telling my husband about his mom's interference and how it is bringing trouble to her kids lives. He immediately shut my mouth calling me names and said I have a bad mouth which should be sealed.
