We are living off my husbands paycheck, living in my moms house, and paying minimal rent.  I have been staying home with our daughter while I was I school.  I feel like a bum.  I just graduated school and have applied to over 50 companies.  We need to move out by October but I want to move ASAP.  The only problem is my husband is 100% against daycare but we can't afford to live off his paycheck.  I don't know what to do and we are running out of time.  How do I get my husband to be okay with daycare?   She is 7 months old.

Get a job that's on the opposite shift of each other. That way there's always one of you home with the kid.

1. He doesn't get to chose if you have a career or not. 
2. His options are let your kid go to daycare, or him getting a second no. To make up the difference, if you chose together you will be a sham. 
3. He can stay at home while you become the bread winner.

Update!  So we found a condo/townhouse to buy.  I found a job.  I also found a great daycare part time and my stepmom will keep her 2 days a week.  I was so stressed!   Thanks for all of your advice.  My husband is okay with everything of course.  Stress causes so many more emotions.

Agreed with others that if he doesn't want the kid in daycare and doesn't want you to work(it sounds like that based on your saying that he won't even compromise by having opposite shifts) he should look for a higher paying job.

If it really is about not having the kid in daycare and not about keeping you from working then maybe he could stay home with the baby if you're able to bring in enough money to cover your expenses.

Welcome to every working parents issue...u need to work and child needs to be watched. U either work opposite shifts, find family to watch or get daycare. Hate to say it but that's life. Maybe find a good daycare he's comfortable with?

I understand where he's coming from. I'd be terrified to let my child stay with a stranger. But if it's that big of an issue, you're going to have to work opposite shifts, he's gonna have to make more money, or he's just gonna have to deal with it
