Naked around your kid okay?

When I mean being naked around your kid ,  I don't mean when they are young but when they get older. I went over to my brothers house to pick up some things the other day and his wife/my sister in law, answered the door naked. She grabbed a robe and said she was sorry. When I came inside I noticed my nephew, who is 12 years old, in the living room playing video games. I asked her if she felt weird about being naked in front of her son and she said no that its completely natural and she only gets dressed when other people come over. She said she will never feel weird being naked in front of my nephew even if he's 30. In your opinion, do you think being naked around your kid even when they aren't little is weird and not normal?

Especially opening the door naked. Like omg. What if it was a strange old man coming to the door?? 
I would be uncomfortable if my mom and dad walked around me naked. I do not need to see their bodies.

I grew up with parents who were pretty much hippies. We would go visit our friends on the nudist colony they owned and was always raised witht the idea that nudity is natural and fine. We had all the same conversations about inappropriate touching and danger but I seen my parents as well as many other family members naked. No big deal, the fact it has been made so taboo and sexualized is what Americans seemed to be bothered by. Just my opinion however, I understand the other side also who aren't used to/comfortable around.

I feel like if he was uncomfortable about it by now he would've said something. I'm 17 and go sit in the bathroom and talk to my mom while she gets ready for work and at one point she's naked, I've never been weirded out by it.😂

When my mom got ready in the morning, she was often in her bra and underwear but she didn't walk around naked for no reason. And definitely didn't answer the door when she wasn't fully clothed.

I don't know why you'd ever answer the door naked unless you knew it was your SO. But i think it's natural to a point. I think kids seeing their parents comfortable with themselves gives them encouragement to be comfortable with their bodies.  My parents were very "all parts covered at all times" kind of people and now im so ashamed even at 25 to be seen naked at any point for any reason. Even after being with my husband 8 years, married 4 and 2 kids later.  Now once they get to a certain age id transition to at least under wear.

First off, she opened the door naked? What the hell?! And two, there comes an age when that's just not right. I know they're your kids, but once they reach a certain age I think it's a little inappropriate...But she answered the door naked!! I'm sorry, I just can't get over that. What if you had been a strange man, and he just got a full view. Ugh, I can't...

I don't have kids yet but I am always naked at home unless I am bloated and feeling gross about myself, or cold 😂

If I have kids though, I will probably be a home nudist until they are about 2. Just my assumed preference.
