what's wrong with soy?

The other day I read on a post that someone said... "Don't use soy unless it's your LAST resort" so I just wanted to know why. What's wrong with it. My son hasn't been taking ANY formula well not even total comfort. his family told me they have a lot of lactose intolerant people in the family so I would probably have to give him soy. And I'm taking him back to the Dr tomorrow to get another opinion. So I just wanted to know if there's something wrong with it

It has estrogen in it so it is assumed that excessive amounts of soy (it's in everything) will promote early puberty in females and breasts or "less masculine" features in males. This has been disproven in most of the larger studies but is not totally conclusive and has studies that conflict with it.

Absolutely nothing because i had my son on sma wysoy prescribed by a peadiatrician and hes totally fine 5mths on. So in my opinion nothing is wrong or my peadiatrician wouldny prescribe it for sure hes ultra fussy too

Google online articles aren't  doctors and neither are the women on this app lol.  the best way to find out if soy is actually bad is to talk to your doctor and see if they recommend a different alternative.  But this my experience with soy... My siblings were born at 27 weeks and were lactose intolerant they were on soy formula until a year then they would drink soy milk until they could handle dairy.. doctors recommendation to my parents
