Vitex??

Question

I have very irregular periods ever since I stopped BC. I am TTC # 1 and regulate my cycles. I ordered vitex and it came today. Does anyone have success using this? And if you do how many mg do you personally take and when is the best time to start taking them? Thanks!

I wouldn't take anything that could mess with your hormones without consulting your doctor. I know a few women who took these products and it made it even harder for them to get pregnant because after using it messed their hormones up even more

I always had regular periods but on the shorter side (24-25 days) after coming off bc. When we started TTC and using OPKs I noticed my luteal phase was 10-11 days with  spotting several days before AF. After confirming with other symptoms, my naturopath said I may have a progesterone deficiency/estrogen dominance. Vitex was one of the things she recommended to balance my hormones (also maca root, natural progesterone cream, bee pollen, vit B6, acupuncture). I took Nature's Way Vitex and took as directed, 3 capsules daily for 12 weeks and 1 capsule daily thereafter. I got my BFP 5 months after starting Vitex. My last two cycles were 27/28 days long, ovulation on cd13/14. It worked for me! We are all different though, maybe consult a naturopath or nutritionist. Baby dust!! ✨

I also had irregular period since November 2016 so I am on vitex n pregnitude. I started April my period came may 1st n now again June 2nd. So I guess it helped

I took 1200mg of Vitex and got my period within 5 days after going 100 days without my period. I have been on it for well over 2 Months and I'm onCD 74 now. So it's not really working for me but I just went to my dr yesterday and she put me on metformin!
