Cartoon character body proportions

They say that Moana is great because she has a more realistic body but honestly her head is bigger than her body width and she still has an extremely tiny waist. I think Nani in Lilo and Stitch had a more realistic body, although her head size to waist ratio is still pretty dramatic. I just don't understand why animators can't make girls and women look porportional and in different shapes and sizes (nothing unhealthy tho obviously). I mean they're kids movies... why do they have to look sexualized? I'm over it.
