when does your baby sleep in the night

My 4 1/2 months baby is very irregular for his night time sleep. Sometimes he goes to bed at 9 pm some nights at midnight!
How should i put him in regular sleeping schedule and what time is ideal for the baby sleep ?

My kiddos are early birds! My 4.5 month old is ready and WANTS to go to bed by 645! Wakes once to nurse or sleeps through until 545-6 when we get up for work. My 21 month old son is in bed by 7, sleeps til 6-630. But he wasn't always like that. He used to be a terrible sleeper, waking MANY times each night, and we started putting him down earlier and earlier.  He used to be in bed by 6 but as he got older and actually sleeps now he goes around 645-7. People think we're crazy bc we won't go out to late dinners or anything but it's so nice having the evenings with my husband and to unwind/attempt to do chores/eat dinner uninterrupted, etc

Whatever time works best for you, but babies thrive on a predictable schedule so setting a set bedtime routine is super important! We started at 12 weeks with bath, diaper, jammies, nursing w lullabies and white noise machine. He is still not a great sleeper, but it is about establishing a schedule. We start bath between 630 / 730 depending. Good luck - it is never too late to start!

You have to start a routine that you can stick to. My 5 month old is sleep by 9:30 every night. She gets a bath at 8:30, a story, then in her crib by 9 but usually doesn't actually fall asleep until around 9:30. 8 or 9 is an ideal bedtime. I go with 9 because of where i'm located, it doesn't get dark until 9.

Between 6 & 7. She sleeps better when she goes to bed earlier and it's nice to have some alone time with my husband after she goes down!

My son goes to sleep by 8pm like clockwork. I work in retail so some nights we get home at 10 and he'll wake up for a bit but he knocks out within minutes

My youngest goes to bed at 8pm when we put our oldest down so we have some us time to get our sanity back ha. She either wakes up once or twice or none and at all. Sometimes I wake her at 630-7 to take the oldest to school

I don't think there's an ideal time, just whatever works best for you and your schedule. I don't have any advice for how to regulate, sadly. I put my son down around 9:30-10 every night and he just goes to sleep. 🤷‍♀️

My baby is the same. Usually goes go bed between 9 and 10. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later but I'm just sticking with a naptime routine and hoping I can get it to around the same time every night.. 🤞

My daughter is 5 months and goes to be by 6:45 or 7 and sleeps till 5:30-6:30.  We do bath, bottle then bed.  Been doing that since 6 weeks
