Formula mommies - care to share your experiences?

Question

I'm not producing enough milk for my baby.  I'm on a routine and medication to fix it but it's not working and it's exhausting.  I want to just use formula but I feel like I'll be judged. Advice?

I wasn't able to produce breast milk with either child and with my first I tried everything. I got a pump, the pillow, all the supposedly magical milk inducing foods and teas and supplements, I did the mega pumping schedule, everything. And it just didn't work. I beat myself up about it for the longest time, I suffered the sideways looks from the breastfeeding moms, I broke down whenever I had to tell the nurse at the pediatrician's office that she was formula-fed. I dealt with it all. It's okay if you need to use formula. The most important thing you can do is make sure your baby is fed. My husband consoled me through all my breastfeeding breakdowns and he said, "you're feeding our baby and that's all that matters".

I've been using formula since my baby was born (I did try breastfeeding right after I delivered her only cause my bf wanted me to breastfeed, but hated it so went to formula) and I don't give a flying fuhhhh what anyone thinks about that 😃

My mom has 6 kids and only 1 was breastfed...the rest of us were formula fed...and the breastfed one is constantly getting sick (sinus infections/throat problems/ear problems) and extremely skinnier compared to the rest of us. Another example is my bf was breastfed and has very bad allergies and also gets sick easily. Where as I was formula fed and have one of the strongest immune systems I know. Now I don't know if that has anything to do with being formula fed or not but I meannnn 🤷

Idk I just feel like breastfeeding isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be but that's just my experience with it and I feel like as long as you're feeding your baby that's all that matters

You prob will.be judged but hey who cares your doing the best you can for your baby and that's all that matters :-) I wish I.had changed sooner instantly I became .stress free mum with a happy baby and have no.regrets I mix fed which helped me come.to.terms.with. not Bf and it helped me not go cold turkey and get sore boobs :-) you do you and who cares what others think
