Carbs and exercise question 😊
Hi everyone, I got diagnosed with GD last week. I failed the 3 hour test at the first hour. My readings aren't bad at all. I'm mostly always under 100 even after two hours after my meals. Today I ate breakfast, checked 2 hours later which was 91, then exercised for 30 mins. A mix of walking in treadmill and the elliptical at the gym. I ate lunch after, chicken fajita with some salsa and chips and guacamole. (No tortillas). 2 hours later my sugar was 80. Also I eat carbs in all my snacks which is usually between meals, it has never been an issue. Does exercise no matter at what time help keep glucose levels lower all day or just the closest meal?
