what should he sleep in?

We're going to be living in a one bedroom apartment for baby's first three months, and I'm so on the fence on what I'll buy for him to sleep in. I'd like to get a crib, because he will eventually need one anyway, but I'm also very inclined to get a bassinet to save some space. I've also heard that you can get bassinets that you can put right next to your bed so you won't have to get up all the way to breastfeed during the night.. I'm also open to other suggestions! Any advice or recommendations?

Someone gifted us the arms reach co sleeper and I love it! It has tons of pockets to hold diapers and wipes and has a huge storage compartment underneath we keep extra diapers and wipes in! It has 2 wheels so it is easy to wheel from one room to the next! We lived in a one bedroom condo when our baby was born- it was the perfect baby sleeper/storage! He loves it! I also have a dock a tot I love and he loves it! He can sleep in our king bed between my husband and I ( great when I was recovering so I didn't have to get up ) in it or we put the dock a tot in the co sleeper. Worth every penny! Good luck

I'm a cosleeping mama, but that's my thing. I've heard the most awesome wonderful things about the Rock n Play sleeper bassinet!! Look into that. Cribs can always come later.

We do a pack n play and use the newborn setting and keep it next to the bed.  You can use it as a crib later on or as a playyard.

The pack and play just took up too much room in our bedroom so we got a bassinet (below). I would've got a co sleeper to put in bed with us but our queen bed with my sloppy sleeper hubby just wouldn't work. I like this bassinet because it aligns perfectly w the height of our bed and it's beautiful made with real wood. It's also bigger so she can fit in there longer.

Try a mini crib. We have an extra room for our baby and I'm still considering a mini crib because they're going to sleep in a bassinet in our room for a few months so I don't want to waste money buying a huge crib now.

Definitely a bassinet that can go next to the bed or an in bed co-sleeper. But it's good to be a bit separate to sleep for yourselves. I had a Moses basket I brought in bed with me until I felt comfortable bed sharing. The first 3 months are technically the 4th trimester and staying lose is so important. It will benefit you both for sleep and feeding. A sidecar bed is also a great choice. My son and I did basinette to start his sleep, then bed share through the night till around 5.5 months when he became a fidgety sleeper. He rolled a lot so for safety and his own cpmpfoet we upgraded him to his crib. Generally moving baby to crib is done by 6 months or when they learn to sit up. So in your small space a basinette right now is a good choice!

My baby slept in a pack n play in our room until he was 4 months old. We knew we were moving a few weeks after he was born and didn't bother even looking at cribs until we were ready to move him to his own room, saw no reason to have to haul that from old place to new place if I didn't even need it.
