unexplained infertility

They found a polyp last month and it was removed. My doctor doesn't know if this has been the issue all along because she doesn't know how long it's been there. We are taking this month to try naturally and then trying IUI next month possibly. We conceived 6 years ago without try, I regrettably had the abortion pill. Do you think this polyp was the issue?
