having herpes and scared to have sex EVER AGAIN

Me and my boyfriend have herpes. (He gave it to me). I've been checked for everything before we started dating and tested negative for everything. He got tested in January but the clinic he went to didn't test for herpes and WE didn't know that back then we just found that out. But now I'm scared to have sex with him now. He has not had an outbreak but I have and it so painful. So for me to know how painful it is to have an outbreak and that sex is the reason that I have it I feel like I never want to have sex again. And he's extremely horny and won't stay off of me. I don't know what to do.
