I had the Kyleena placed a few months ago. I also had severe cramping for the first few weeks. But it will subside. If it does not, and if the bleeding continues to be heavy, I would say go back to your gyno. It is possible that your IUD displaced itself. I have a friend who's IUD actually expelled itself after a night of extremely heavy bleeding and serious cramps in the lower back and front. But let's not jump to conclusions, this is only a possibility. You had your IUD inserted only 1-2 weeks ago and the cramps won't subside for maybe another week or so. For me the entire thing got much more manageable after my first period since IUD insertion. So I would hang tight until your Tuesday follow up. Take some painkillers, use a heating pad or two. it will get better I promise. The cramps feel like the devil in the beginning, but they will get better. Best of luck!
Liletta IUD placed about 1-2 weeks ago
And I'm cramping HARD.
I have a follow up Tuesday but there are times I need to sit on the ground no matter where I am just to move on. I've also been bleeding since it's been placed (tmi- at least there are no pics lol).
Is it because I had a baby or something? Is it just because it's my first IUD?
Idk what to expect or anything.
Try not to freak me out too badly. I have severe anxiety and my mind is already in the worst place.
