Due today - very emotional
I'm due today the 16th June 2017, had a midwife appointment yesterday where she performed a cervical sweep, which by the way was horrendous. She told me I'm 1cm dilated and baby girl's head is fully engaged and my cervix is soft. This morning I lost my mucus plug and have been having pains on/off.
However have been so tearful since yesterday and keep bursting into tears on/off, I'm getting so frustrated with not knowing what to expect and not having any clue what a proper contraction should feel like because everyone's different.
I keep getting period like pains that are very mild but they're very irregular and just when I think they're coming in more frequently and developing a pattern they stop completely for hours on end and I get the odd one again.
I have gestational diabetes and due to be induced on Thursday next week however midwife has advised that it could take anything between 1-4 days for the labour to kick in. If labour doesn't start before Tuesday then I have to see the midwife again on Tuesday and have agreed for another cervical sweep to be performed however I'm dreading this more than anything so i don't know if this is the reason why I'm feeling so teary.
Has anyone else felt like this in the lead up to labour?
