Purple breasts?

Lately my breasts have been insanely tender. I can't move or touch them without pain. I brushed it off as just intense PMS or just a woman's body doing weird stuff. I've even considered they're growing. But the other day I noticed that they were a little darker than normal. And today I looked and they seem almost purple in a way. I'm not pregnant and my period has come and gone. It's getting worse over time. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm going to the Doctors but I'm just curious if this is a thing other woman have experienced?
